A residential project in Sydney rarely needs only an architect. Depending on the site and the pathway it can need a surveyor, a structural engineer, a hydraulic or stormwater engineer, a BASIX and energy assessor, a private certifier, and for some blocks a bushfire consultant, an arborist, a heritage consultant or a geotechnical engineer. Each produces information that has to agree with the architectural drawings and with each other.
We identify which consultants the project needs at the start, brief them with the right drawings at the right time, check their work against the architectural set, and resolve clashes before the set goes to the assessor or the builder. The result is a submission that is complete the first time and a construction set in which the beam the engineer sized is the beam the drawings show.
Because surveying and engineering sit within the LCG group, those disciplines are often coordinated in-house. Where an external consultant is needed we manage the exchange. Construction remains with the builder of your choice.
